Townsend House and Townsend Lodge - New Services due to open in late 2010

Townsend House, in Curry Rivel, near Taunton, will provide a residential support service to 5 younger people with autistic spectrum conditions. This spacious property will afford high quality personal space for each service user which acknowledges their individual support needs. Townsend House will enable those individuals who need a high level of support at this time in their lives, to have the opportunity of sem-independent living within a safe and supportive environment.

Townsend Lodge, adjacent to Townsend House, provides spacious and private single-story accommodation for 5 younger people with autistic spectrum conditions, and who may also have additional physical or medical needs. All berooms are en-suite and two of the rooms are adapted for use by individuals who use a wheelchair to aid their mobility. All service users have access to single-level lounge, dining room, kitchen and garden areas. Townsend Lodge will enable an individual package of support designed to meet the specific and complex needs of each service user.
