Autism Solutions Ltd was established in 2003 by Steve Clothier, who has many years experience in senior positions within the social care field, and, in particular, support services for people with autistic spectrum disorders. Dissatisfied with the “institutional” nature of most services, which meant individuals with autism had to “fit in” or be excluded, Steve saw the need to concentrate on an individual approach to autism – hence Autism Solutions.
We Provide the following services:
Supported Living
- Service users have a tenancy to their own home and our staff support them to be as independent as possible
Residential Care
- For service users whose needs are more complex or for those who need a 'stepping stone' to gain the independence needed for supported living
Community Support
- For service users who live either in their own homes with their families, or in other establishments. We tailor the support to meet the individual needs and this can be from 1 hour per day, 1 day a week to all day 7 days a week, depending on the support package agreed.
The TRIAD Centre (Training, Recreation, Individually Assessed Development)
- Providing Training for support staff and anyone with an interest in autism or social care
- Activity centre - a well equipped and autism friendly centre where service users can learn, develop new skills, relax and have fun - since that's what life should be about! (Please visit the Activity and Learning Support page for more information)
- Home tuition for children who cannot cope with the classroom atmosphere and who will benefit from a more personalised ciriculum and one to one tuition from a teacher who understands autism.
